THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (NIIP) DIGITALIZED INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SERVICES

Each year, the impact of the electronic format in the provision of public services becomes more significant.
Thus, the Order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments to the Order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 11, 2018 № 1481 “On Approval of Standards of Public Services in the Field of Protection and Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights” was adopted on August 2, 2019. In accordance with the Order, public services provided by the National Institute of Intellectual Property (hereinafter – “NIIP”) are fully automated.
The form of provision public services is electronic. Now you can apply for registration and get the results of public service provision through the e-government web portal www.egov.kz by means of the Single Sign-On technology the transition to the newcab.kazpatent.kz personal cabinet is carried out without repeated authorization. When submitted online, the documents are received by the automated information system “NIIP” (AIS “NIIP”). At the same time, applications submitted on paper will not be considered anymore. Applications submitted on the basis of notifications regarding industrial property objects submitted by NIIP before August 2, 2019, are not subject to this requirement.
Applicants should pay by bank transfer through the second-tier bank payment gateway integrated with the information system of newcab.kazpatent.kz service provider.
For the objects of copyright, since October 2018 the process of providing services has been carried out exclusively online, as it has remained to this day.
